Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

These terms govern your use of rovlum.com and any build services we provide. By submitting an inquiry or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Scope of Service

RovLum provides custom modification services for automotive lighting. Our core offering is modifying customer-supplied OEM lamp housings (or supplying complete replacement assemblies where stated) to add sequential turn signals, switchback functionality, RGBW colour control, lens etching, or housing refinishing.

We do not sell complete vehicles. Vehicle fitment is determined by the year/make/model you provide and the OEM lamp part numbers on the housings you send.

2. Eligibility and Vehicle Compatibility

Custom lamp work requires that your vehicle’s housings are structurally sound. We reserve the right to decline any build we judge cannot be completed safely or to a professional standard. We will notify you and offer a refund if we decline after receiving your lamps.

3. Quotes and Pricing

  • All quotes are estimates based on the modification options and vehicle information you provide.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days.
  • Additional work requested after a quote is approved is quoted separately before work begins.
  • Price changes due to parts cost increases after quote acceptance are communicated and require your approval before proceeding.

4. Payment Terms

Custom builds typically require a 50% deposit to begin work, with the balance due before shipping. Deposits are applied toward the final price. Payment is accepted by PayPal and card (via Stripe) in the currency shown on the quote.

5. Customer-Supplied Lamps and Shipping Risk

  • You may send us your OEM lamp housings, or purchase complete assemblies from us. Both options are available depending on the build.
  • Risk in transit to us: responsibility for the safe arrival of customer-shipped items rests with the customer. We recommend insured, tracked shipping and appropriate protective packaging (bubble wrap, secure latch protection).
  • We photograph and document the condition of incoming housings. Damage present before our work begins must be documented within 7 days of receipt, or we cannot address it.
  • Glass or cracked components supplied by the customer cannot be repaired by us.

6. Build Timeline

Standard turnaround is 4–6 weeks from receipt of lamps (or from deposit for assembly purchases). Peak season (roughly November through May) extends this to 10–14 weeks. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our control, but we will always communicate material slippage.

7. Warranty

  • Self-installed builds: 1 year on workmanship and components.
  • Professionally installed builds: lifetime workmanship warranty where installation is performed by us or an authorized partner.
  • Warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failure under normal use. It does not cover damage from incorrect installation, modification, misuse, road debris, or modification of the product after delivery.
  • Warranty does not cover LED module colour shift over time, which is normal degradation common to all LED products.

8. Road Legality and Compliance

Custom lighting legality varies by state, country, and vehicle inspection regime. Customers are responsible for confirming local compliance before use on public roads.

  • Sequential and switchback amber turn signals are designed to meetDOT/SAE expectations in most US states when installed correctly.
  • Full-colour RGB/RGBW systems are for off-road and show use only and are not road legal in most jurisdictions.
  • Smoked lenses, demon eyes, and tinted lenses may fail inspection in certain states.

Products are not sold with a DOT certification guarantee for every vehicle and year combination. If road legality is critical to you, contact us before ordering with your state and vehicle year.

9. Liability

Our liability for any claim related to a build is limited to the amount paid for that build. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use, towing, or vehicle downtime, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.

10. Returns and Refunds

Custom-built items are non-returnable and non-refundable once work has begun, as they are made to your specification. Refunds before work starts are covered in our Returns & Refund Policy. Defective or incorrect work is always remedied — see Section 7.

11. Intellectual Property

We retain rights to our designs, firmware, PCB layouts, and any custom engineering. We grant you a non-exclusive licence to use finished products for personal, non-commercial use.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site or acceptance of a quote after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are first sought through good-faith direct resolution.
